Tribal Union of Journalists Khyber Agency held a protest demonstration from Jamrud press club to Babe Khyber to condemn the killing of the tribal journalist Nasrullah Afridi. The social and political parties’ activists also participated in the protest demonstration under the banner of TUJ Khyber here on Thursday. The tribal journalists and the social and political workers of various parties were holding placards and banners inscribed with slogans against the terrorists who killed Nasrullah Afridi and against the government for its failure to protect the tribal journalists. They were chanting full throats slogans asking the government to protect the tribal journalists in FATA.

Mehboob Shah Afridi president TUJ Khyber while leading the protest demonstration at Babe Khyber condemned the killing of the tribal journalist Nasrullah Afridi in a car bomb blast the other day in Peshawar cantonment area, setting a deadline of one week for the government and the law enforcement agencies to probe the horrible incident and bring the culprits to justice, otherwise the tribal journalists would start a movement against the government. TUJ Khyber president Mehboob Shah Afridi also demanded of the government to provide full-fledged financial package to the heirs of the deceased tribal journalist forthwith. He strongly condemned the killing of Nasrullah Afridi.

He said tribal journalists were shocked when they heard of the killing of the hard working Nasrullah Afridi.

PML-N leaders Akram Ullah Jan, JUI-F leader Jehad Gul and JI leader Haji Muhammad Amin also sympathized with the tribal journalists and assured of their support for their cause. Later the protesters dispersed peacefully.
