A ten year old Bolivian boy, Franklin Villca Huanco fled his home and travelled for 1000 km to find his mother. Unfortunately he ended up in Chile and into the hands of the Police.

The boy had fled his home to meet his mother, Zenobia Huanco who was in jail in Cochabamba, Bolivia serving a prison sentence.

He got into a truck thinking that it is going to the city and concealed himself in a metal container. He stayed in the truck for two days without the knowledge of the truck driver. He was finally caught by the Chilean police wandering in the city.

Franklin has been handed over to a local family in Chile. The police has been able to make contact with his mother, who has been released from the jail and is now working in the countryside.

Franklin and his mother have been able to communicate with each other through a Bolivian TV Station ATB.

"Franklin my child, I'm here crying for you. Where have you gone, little one? I love you. You know that I was in prison and then in the fields and you told me 'I am content with my papa','' she told her son.

"Hurry, come pick me up mummy," Franklin said.
