Dumaguete City, Philippines - Wednesday, a male elderly person who is thought to be a former police officer was found lifeless at the Chinese burial ground in Daro, Dumaguete City.
Law enforcement investigators are still trying to establish the motive for the murder of the man, who was later recognized by his lad as Jessie Dacotdacot, a retired police officer residing in the neighboring municipality, Sibulan, Negros Oriental.
Sofronio Guarin, Daro Village councilman went to the police station around 8:00 in the morning, Wednesday after two men who he did not recognized informed him that they saw a body lying on the ground in the graveyard. The City Health Office upon the request of the police crime operatives will be conducting a post mortem assessment. The fatality was firstly thought to have died of trauma injuries.
Law enforcement investigators recovered a .22 caliber revolver with five rounds of live bullets, some cigarettes, an empty beer bottle, a pair of shoes, and a pair of trousers at the crime location. Two medium-sized rocks, one covered with blood, was also taken as evidence, considering that these might have been the fatal weaponry.
