Based on the US Geological Survey website, a magnitude 5.0 quake rocks Taiwan, Tuesday, May 3, 2011.

The quake was felt around 11:52 P.M. at the epicenter which is located at 23.866°N, 121.757°E with a depth of 41.9 km (26.0 miles).

Here are the details of distances from epicenter:

14 km (8 miles) ESE of Hualien, Taiwan

77 km (47 miles) S of Su'ao, Taiwan

109 km (67 miles) ESE of Taichung, Taiwan

1033 km (641 miles) N of MANILA, Philippines

There are no reported damages.
