April 27, 2011: Thousands of devotees' rich and poor thronged to Putaparthi, Andhra Pradesh to pay their last respects to the spiritual guru, late Shri Satya Sai Baba. Amongst all one celebrity - Indian master batsman Sachin Tendulkar looked completely shattered at the Baba's death.

Hundreds of famous personalities reached the sprawling Sai Kulwant Hall in Prashanti Nilayam, where the spiritual guru's body lay in state. These included the Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Congress President & UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar, Yoga Guru Ramdev Maharaj, famous Carnatic Singer P Susheela and many others.

The master blaster Sachin Tendulkar known for his even temperament, on this occasion was so badly affected by Satya Sai Baba's death on Sunday, April 24, that he cancelled his birthday celebrations, which coincidently fell on the same day.

Sachin, in fact with wife Anjali in tow rushed to the venue on Monday, directly from Hyderabad to have Baba's last ‘darshan.' He broke down on seeing the body of Baba, for whom he has tremendous faith and reverence. He was seen often wiping tears from his eyes and giving the inert body of the guru forlorn glances. He was consoled by friend V. Chamundeshwarnath and wife Anjali. Check attached pictures for a first-hand glimpse.

Meanwhile according to the family of Baba and Sathya Sai Central Trust all arrangements for the Guru's burial have been done and it will take place at Sai Kulwant Hall, on Wednesday, April 27, 2011. Till yesterday more than 100,000 people had thronged the venue to have a glimpse of the spiritual guru.
