At least 15 people including nine children and a woman were burnt alive early Tuesday when unknown men set ablaze a passenger coach at Natinal Highway in Sibi, while several other passengers were injured, police said.

According to DCO Sibi, Ahmed Naseer, a passenger bus was on its way from Peshawar to Quetta when four unknown men torched it during a short stay at a highway hotel in Sibi.

Fifteen people including nine children and a woman were burnt alive, DCO Sibi told.

Among the fifteen killed people were eight members of a family.

Firefighters and Rescue 1122 have arrived at the scene and shifted dead bodies to nearby hospitals.

Several passengers were still trapped in the burning coach, eye-witnesses told.
