Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) beat Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by 9 wickets. The 24th T20 match of IPL season 4 was held at the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata on April 22, 2011. RCB won the toss and elected to field. KKR scored a decent 171/5 in 20 overs.

KKR skipper Gautam Gambhir was the highest scorer (48 off 38 balls), followed by Yusuf Pathan (46 off 24 balls) and Jacques Kallis (40 off 42 balls). Sreenath Aravind took 2 wickets for RCB. Chasing 172 to win, RCB made 175/1 in 18.1 overs.

Chris Gayle was not out for 102 off 55 balls in his IPL season 4 debut innings. He hit 7 sixes and 10 fours. Virat Kohli was not out for 30 off 23 balls. He hit 1 six and 3 fours. Tilakaratne Dilshan (38 off 31 balls) also contributed for the team’s winning. Dilshan hit 6 fours in his innings. Gayle won Man of The Match trophy.
