HBO Boxing: Greatest Hits - Amir Khan (HBO)

The Pakistani national, British Boxer, Amir Khan has defended his title consecutively 5 times. In the match he beat his opponent Paul McCloskey of Ireland.

From the beginning of the match, Amir Khan maintains the pressure upon his challenger and the competition became tough till the 5th round. Both boxers were aggressively attacked on each other in which Amir Khan was looking very dangerous and in the 6th round Amir Khan have successfully defended his world Light Welter weight Title.

The Champion Amir Khan told a press conference after the bout on Saturday, “I’ve got bigger things to do than a game. I want to unite the decision and fight Bradley. He didn’t win one round and with another two rounds I would have knocked him out. He was lucky the fight was stopped because or else he would have got knocked out. I would only have ragged that cut and made it bigger. He can’t be sour, this is sport and the job is done.”

On the other hand the looser challenger, McCloskey doesn’t agree with Amir Khan’s supposition as he told media, “I didn’t know why the doctor was in the ring in the first place, he wasn’t even asked to come in, and I don’t know why it was stopped. I thought it was bad but it could have approved on. It has been a lifetime of work, for that. Amir is a good boxer, but he’s not that good. Amir was exhausted. He had problems making the weight and I get stronger as a fight goes on.” He said.
