Manila authorities have begun to place the photos of speeding vehicles onto the Internet.

The official website: http://mmda.gov.ph/Speeding-Violators.html shows speeding vehicles along with a listing of the speed of the vehicles.

Authorities have said the official website should help in the effort to stop drivers breaking the law on the Philippine capital's dangerous roads.

The snapshots are designed to shame people into better driving.

The Website already shows a succession of cars, vans and buses, with licence plates visible.

More than 7,000 drivers have been caught on camera so far.

Apart from the shame of being on the Internet, they will also be sent tickets for exceeding the 60 kilometre per hour limit in Manila.
