Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor has agreed to support NDTV’s campaign Shakti

Kareena Kapoor has joined the NDTV Shakti campaign. The campaign aims to make India a safer place for women.

Kareena Kapoor is surely aware of her iconic image and its impact on Indian women. She has willingly agreed to join NDTV’s Safe India campaign.

According to sources close to the karena kapoor she feels very strongly for the cause of women’s liberation.

Kareena has portrayed a rebel who has fought hard for her beliefs in films like Asoka (2001) and Kurbaan (2009). She played a sex worker in the film Chameli (2003) and the assertive Geet in the 2007 film, Jab We Met.

The campaign was launched as part of the 100th International Women’s Day.
