Ford employs 700 Filipino workers will be having a month long shutdown that startred last Monday and will end on May 9 due to an expected shortage of parts caused by the tsunami that hit Japan last month.

Ford Motors Philippines gave an assurance that the month long shutdown will not affect the company's corporate result and their inventories are enough to support consumer's demands.

Top car companies will have problems because majority of their parts are all coming from Japan. Hoping for Japan's fst rebound and be back in business.
