The forest officials found the cubs in Ghata village in western India's Gujarat state on Monday.

The officials said, “The leopardess and her three cubs were there in the field. As the villagers tried to catch her, she ran away, leaving the cubs behind. We found the cubs and kept them in a cage in the field and waited for their mother to come.”

The officials said that if the leopardess did not come then they would take the cubs with them after a medical check-up.
