I find this to be offensive. This again shows how Muslims are portrayed as terrorist, gun carrying and flag burning, in the US media. Obama has never claimed to be a Muslim, he always says he is a Christian and still some media wants to undermine him by portraying him as a Muslim. What does this say about the rest of the Muslims in America!

This was not expected by New Yorker. They need to understand that Inter-religious repect has to be implemented for a sustainable relationship between different religions. The magzine needs to identify the source of this offence and ban his work, or take appropriate actions, not only to revive it's integrity, but also establishment of religious respect and trust.

I think The New Yorker magazine has portrayed the Muslims in a very embarrassing manner. The picture is offensive as well as degrading for the Muslims. Obama has never claimed himself as a Muslim. Here,it stereotypes the Muslims as terrorists without deeper understanding of the causes. Such humiliating incidents should be avoided in future.

Its not about "The New York Times" only, the majority of American media seems hell bent on portraying Muslims as terrorists and trouble makers without giving much thought to the wider discontent and feeling of alienation present among the Muslims all over the world. Stereotyping Muslims as such will make it easier for them to forget the ghosts of bleeding Iraq and Afghanistan but only for a short time. Muslims will remain terrorists as long as the American public remains ill informed. Even the presidential candidate will not be spared. After all it is a war on terror.

I heard the New Yorker Editor on TV last night, he said this was Satire and a piece of art, The cartoon was proving a point that Obama is not a Muslim. To say he is just ridiculous. I want to ask this editor, why he thinks and wants to make a mockery out of 1.2Billion Muslims to try to make a point that Obama is not a Muslim.
