Beenie Man No-Show Causes Chaos
News that featured headliner - Beenie Man - would not be performing, brought the 2008 Portland Jerk Festival to a crashing halt at minutes to 11 last night. Bottles rained down as patrons fired a barrage of glass and plastic bottles at the stage, after the show's MC (Colin Anthony, aka Chaka Fame) announced that Beenie Man would not be performing, as he had lost his passport earlier in the day, and thus could not make it from the U.S. in time for the show.
