Crystal Magnum, the woman who accused three members of the men's lacrosse team at Duke of rape five years ago, was arrested Sunday in connection to the stabbing of her boyfriend.
Officers responding to a call at a Durham, North Carolina apartment found a 46-year-old man stabbed in the torso. He was taken to Duke University Hospital with serious injuries.
Magnum, 32, who shares the apartment with the victim, was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. She was placed in the Durham County jail without bond.
Magnum claimed in March 2006 that she had been sexually assaulted by members of the Duke men's lacrosse team while performing as a stripper at a team party. Although the claims caused a scandal that led to the team's season being cancelled and the head coach resigning, the charges were dropped due to lack of evidence.
