Proud captain of India Mahendra Singh (MS) Dhoni and his men celebrated after capturing the ICC Cricket World Cup title, Saturday in front of home crowd in Mumbai. The winner is up for for a grab in the closing 2 overs of the game until Mahendra Singh Dhoni hits the first ball of the 49th over for a massive six to put the icing on the cake and ignited the thousands of people on the stands.

The ICC Cricket World Cup final match of India vs Sri Lanka was being watched by billions of people around the world came down for India after a 28-year World Cup drought. Sri Lanka batted first and easily cruised to 275/6 runs in 50 overs. MS Dhoni of India wins the Man of the Match title against Sri Lanka, the Finals of the ICC Cricket World Cup' 2011. Another stellar performance from teamate Yuvraj Singh who was named Man of the Series for his 15 wickets and 362 runs.

Sri Lanka Latish Malinga (2-42) made an impact as usual but wasn't enough as fellow spinners, Suraj Randiv and Muralitharan, who bowled 17 overs for 82 runs.

All in all it was a stellar performance of Mahendra Singh Dhoni and his men to capture the coveted World Cup title.
