Famous British writer Diana Wynne Jones passed away on 26th March, 2011, after fighting a long battle with lung cancer. Among her famous books are "Howl’s Moving Castle", "Archers Goon", "Dogs Body" and "Fire & Hemlock".

Diana Wynne Jones was one of the most renowned fantasy writers. Her books will continue inspiring generations. She will be truly missed by her fans all over the world. Diana Wynne Jones was a British writer and according to her autobiography she has been an atheist since the age of ten. She also won a Guardian Award in 1977 for writing the "Chrestomanci" series for children. Her famous book "Howl’s Moving Castle" was also adapted as a Japanese animated movie in 2004.

Diana Jones was diagnosed with lung cancer in the summer of 2009. She then underwent a surgery which was reported to be successful. However, in 2010, she announced that she will discontinue with the chemotherapy since the procedure is very painful. Diana Wynne Jones never gave up on writing and she managed to complete halfway her new book which was to be followed by another one.

RIP Dianna Wynne Jones. You will be truly missed!
