ICC prosecutor expects persecution Gaddafi regime

The chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) has its own words "one hundred percent sure" that his investigation into the violence in Libya will lead to an indictment against Muammar Gaddafi's regime for crimes against humanity.

That said chief prosecutor Luis Moreno-Ocampo Thursday against news agency AP.

Moreno said a research team looks at six specific "mass shootings of civilians" in Tripoli, Benghazi and other Libyan cities.

The team looks at using photos, videos and other evidence which persons involved in attacks. The ICC is working with Interpol and other police forces. Later, the role of the regime in armed conflict with rebel are viewed as late Moreno know.

Security

The UN Security Council gave the ICC the beginning of March the contract in Libya to investigate possible crimes. The''widespread and systematic attack taking place in Libya against the civilian population, can sometimes be regarded as crimes against humanity'', said the Security Council in Resolution 1970.

The ICC was established to suspects of war crimes and other serious international crimes to justice.
