France sends aircraft carrier to Libya

PARIS - France will send the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle to Libya. The navy ship departs tomorrow. A spokesperson of the French Defense Ministry announced.

The Charles de Gaulle has about thirty aircraft on board. These include fighter jets, combat helicopters and radar planes.

France opened the Saturday attack on the regime of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi. According to Paris in the operations about twenty fighters involved.
