3/16/11: White House Press Briefing

President Obama said Friday that United States is not going to deploy ground troops in Libya and will not use force beyond a well defined goal. He also gave an ultimatum to Gaddafi for an immediate cease fire or get ready for a war.

After a briefing to Congress, president Obama in his address to the nation said US leadership is essential but that doesn't mean to act alone and according to UN resolution, total cease fire in Liya is not negotiable and will be enforced.

Obama told secretary of state, Hilary Clinton will travel to Paris for meeting with US allies on Libya's situation on Saturaday.
