America Is Being Poisoned & Robbed, Russell Means For President 2012, America Is Not Broke!

The decision to approve the military intervention divided UN members. After several weeks of global media campaign based on fabricated and censored news to manufacture consent has led ten members of the United Nations to allow American and European empires (mainly Britain and France) to abuse "all necessary measures" (blank, cheque) including the use of a no-fly zone or mass murders order.

India, Germany, Brazil, Russia and China abstained from the vote on UNSC Resolution 1970, turning a blind eye to the crusading imperial designs for Libyan oil-gas and another collater murders campaign.

British prime minister David Cameron's urge to dust himself in military glory may be strong, but he must avert imperial interventions in the Muslim world. Barack Obama and Cameron must find other causes to glory. Instead of cutting public services, the British government should cut the war in Afghanistan and the Trident nuclear weapons system.

The record of the west in the region is of support for autocracies in cynical self-interest. American and European imperialists have prioritised cheap oil, arms sales and support for Israel's oppression of the Palestinians above the rights of the Arab peoples.

Cameron exemplified this approach by touring the region selling arms to American imposed and sustained despots, dictators, tyrants and puppets at the very moment of maximum repression. This approach has not changed. The imperial urge to intervene in the Muslim world has more to do with control of oil-gas resources than support for Muslim democrats.

American and European imperial interventions violate another country’s sovereignty. This is not just a legalistic point – although the importance of observing international law must not be discounted if the big imperial powers in the world are not to be given the green light run amok. As soon as NATO starts to intervene, 1.5 billion Muslim democrats will start to lose control of their own country’s and future.

The imperial interventions will only prolong, not end the civil war. “No-fly zones” pretext will not halt the human conflict and tragedy, and will lead to more bloodshed, not less.

Imperial interventions will lead to escalation. Because the measures being advocated will not bring an end to the civil war, the next demand will be for a full-scale invasion and endless occupation, as in Iraq and Afhanistan – and meeting the same continuing resistance leading to decades of civil wars, human conflict and tragedy.

This is not Spain in 1936, when non-intervention meant helping the fascist side which, if victorious in the conflict, would only encourage the instigators of a wider war – as it did. Here, the imperial powers clamouring for more military interventions are the ones already waging a wider war across the Muslim world and looking to preserve their power even as they lose their autocratic allies. Respecting the sovereignty of the Muslim world is the cause of peace, not is enemy.

It is more like Iraq in the 1990s, after the First Gulf War. Then, the US, Britain and France imposed no-fly zones which did not lead to peace – the two parties in protected Iraqi Kurdistan fought a bitter civil war under the protection of the no-fly zone – and did prepare the ground for the invasion of 2003. Imperial interventions will institutionalise the civil wars, human conflict and tragedy for decades. NATO interventions have led to endless corrupt occupations in the Balkans. NATO interventions have not led to peace, reconciliation or genuine freedom in the region.

It is about oil. Why the talk of intervening in the oil-gas Muslim world, but not the Congo, for example? Ask any ten top ten oil company in the USA and Europe.

It is also about pressure on Egyptian revolution – the biggest threat to imperial interests in the region. NATO garrisons next door would be a base for pressure at least, and intervention at worst, if Egyptian freedom flowers to the point where it challenges western interests in the region.

The imperial hypocrisy and double standards gives the game away. When the people of Bahrain rose against their US-backed monarchy and were cut down in the streets, there was no talk of action, even though the US sixth fleet is based there and could doubtless have imposed a solution in short order. As top US republican Senator Lindsey Graham observed last month “there are regimes we want to change, and those we don’t”. The imperialists will only ever intervene to strangle genuine revolutions, never to support it.

Imperialist military aggression and interventions in the oil-gas Muslim world – to give it the righty name – is used to revive the blood-soaked policy of ‘imperial interventionism’. That beast must not be allowed to rise from the graves of Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Moreover, the lessons of disastrous wars in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan have not been learned. Over US $1 trillion has been wasted on the unjustified illegal wars imposed on Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan. The war in Afghanistan is costing British government £4.5 billion a year. The price paid in the devastation of three countries and millions of deaths will now be extended to the people of Libya, Bahrain, Yemen, Oman and other parts of the Middle East and Asia. Air attacks on Libya will not help end the civil war but will escalate it and could be the prelude to a much wider war.

Just as in Iraq and Afghanistan, the war imposed on Libya would be used to achieve what the crusading American and European imperialists need. The UN resolution 1970 would be abused as a cover by the US-led military to bomb Libya for several months or years. American targets include food processing and electricity power plants, telecom networks, roads, bridges, hospitals, educational establishments to satisfy imperial desires to control Libya’s hydrocarbon (oil-gas) resources and byproducts. The imperialists are set to topple Moammar Gadhafi, impose and sustained another despostic tyrant. The imperial powers would use “embedded journalists” to ensure any negative news about the mass murders is censored. The media whores will be used to deploy false flags.

There must be no more American and European or foreign interventions anywhere else in the Muslim world. The future of democracy in those 57 countries must be determined by 1.5 billion Muslim democrats alone.

The mood for imperial interventions in Libya is growing in Washington and Whitehall. Such action should be opposed by everyone hoping for democracy there. Add your name to the petition initiated by: Tony Benn; Jeremy Corbyn MP; John Pilger; Iraqi Democrats Against Occupation; British Muslim Initiative; Kate Hudson CND; Lindsey German and Andrew Murray of the Stop The War UK.

In order to suppress and subvert any dissent against more imperial interventions, the Pentagon also launched 'sock puppet' software that creates fake online identities to spread pro-American propaganda to manipulate social media sites, influence internet conversations, attack and slander dissent to control and restrict free speech on the internet. United States Central Command (Centcom), which oversees US armed operations in the Middle East and Central Asia, to deploy what is described as an "online persona management service" that will allow their assets to use tens of separate identities or aliases around the world.

“Muslim democracts manage without imperial interventions. All democrats resist the siren calls for more imperial interventions in the Muslim world. The US is covertly leading Saudi to crash democrats in Bahrain and other oil-gas producing Muslim countries. To complete the total control, Iran is next after Libya,” according to one leading Muslim democrat based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

In the final analysis: Muslim world has been domain for crusading imperialists since 1095 AD. More foreign interventions, invasions and occupations only spread the conflict and undermine the democratic movements. Such war crimes should be opposed by everyone hoping for democracy there. It is very terrifying statement. then What would be the use of such wars?
Reply By spsyed spsyed | over 2 years ago
Shahjehan, Muslim democrats have risen against the despots and dictators who have subjugated them for decades, with the support, aid and armaments supplied by the very Western imperial powers now trying to re-invent them selves as 'humanitarians'.
