secret hanging of prisoners by Islamic republic of Iran

Following the execution sentence of 10 prisoners in Ghzelhesar jail, thousands of prisoners protested this issue; bloody clashes erupted in the prison which left at least 150 wounded and 80 dead prisoners.

The Hrana reporters, news organizations for Human Rights Activists in Iran, dated March 16, some sections of Ghzelhsar jail at Karaj, such as Unit 2 and 3 in order to stop the execution of 10 persons of their friends, staged massive protests and strikes.

Some prisoners about three thousand to express their wishes and protested in attempting to break the prison door to the bands and began chanting "death penalty must be stopped".

Following this protest, security forces at 9 pm, attacked prisoners and caused bloody conflicts.

The security forces, at the scene to control the protests of prisoners have used real bullets that followed nearly 80 killed and 150 suffered injuries as hard and some were moved out of the jail. Numbers of prisoners who have been shot are 150 and more. Also most of them are seriously injured by bullet and they are in a bad situation as reported.

Most of The protesting prisoners have heavy convictions (mostly death penalty).

It should be mentioned that the handful of officers and "Sfakhyl" prison deputy also have suffered leg injuries.

Mentioning that from 16 march, till now riot guard and security forces have been deployed at Ghzelhsar prison, many prisoners families have gathered at the front of jail despite ignorance of the depth of tragedy and are not allowed to meet prisoners.

Since the prison authorities have not announced the names of those killed, some unconfirmed reports suggest the bodies secretly transferred out of the prison, in case there is a significant possibility that the security system is attempting to bury them arbitrarily.

Extensive efforts of prison security system and protection system for the lack of published reports in connection with prison riots and killings prisoners is so that, despite the high number of injuries over the incident, which many also have serious condition, officials refused to transfer them to hospital and transferred those with severe injuries to Rajai prison in Karaj that has operating room. Witnesses reported dying two of the injured prisoners in Rajai prison at Karaj who have been moved due to severe injuries and lack of adequate medical services.

Note that while the state Fars news agency reports addressing this issue, claimed protested prisoners had attempted to escape from prison and the destruction of some facilities, break the glass and had attempted to beat the guards. In this report without mentioning the use of firearms officers, and also stressed that some people "because of injuries and smoke damage and fire" died.

It is worth mentioning Islamic republic disconnected all communication facilities of prisoners, so reporting this event is done with difficulty.
