Japan's nuclear crisis deepened due to fire at atomic power plant

Japan's nuclear crisis deepened on Wednesday with another fire at a quake-hit atomic power plant, forcing temporary evacuation of workers.

Helicopters carrying water had to be postponed because of high radiation levels over the Fukushima atomic plant near Tokyo.

The Japanese Foreign Ministry says eight experts from the United States nuclear regulatory commission are due to reach on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Japan's Emperor Akihito delivered a rare address to his nation on Wednesday saying he was deeply concerned about the unpredictable situation at the quake stricken Fukushima nuclear power plant.
