Piracy off the coast of Somalia is booming despite a massive deployment of international warships

Indian Navy , finally act against the pirates . According to AP and AFP news on Tuesday ( 15/03/2011 ) , the army was to obtain a sign request for assistance . At that time , Vega 5 vessel-flagged Mozambique was targeted because the military operation has been since late December of last year 's ill-fated ship in the hands of pirates .

Thus , salvation operation involving two battleships of India in the Arabian Sea region , or about 1100 miles off the coast of Kochi . Rescue was also marred crossfire .

Indian Navy says successfully captured 61 pirates and managed to rescue 13 crew from Mozambique who are victims of piracy in the Indian Ocean . A number of weapons confiscated various sizes participated in the raid .

Earlier , on February 28 suspected hijackers yesterday Somali origin were arrested in the Indian Ocean . Currently pirate attacks in the Indian Ocean region is increasingly marred by violence .

Meanwhile , a Bangladesh ship which was hijacked last year reported to have been freed after their owners pay a ransom . MV Jahan Moni which contains 26 crew freed after the ship owners pay a 4 million U.S. dollars . The ship was arrested early last December while on his way to Greece .
