Who is Gilbert Gottfried? For those of you who is not familiar with him, he is a stand-up comedian known for speaking in a loud, grating tone of voice.

He was fired because of his tasteless Tweets about the situation in Japan. He was working as the duck voice of Aflac. Aflac is the largest provider of supplemental insurance in the US. They also operates in Japan.

In a statement issued by the company, the tweets issued by the actor does not represent the thoughts and feeling of anyone at Aflac. They even further state that there is no place for anything else, but compassion and concern during this difficult times.

Serves him RIGHT!! I'm not surprised someone like Gilbert Gottfried would get in trouble for such jokes. Some comedians never know WHEN to shut up. They have no self-control. They just run their mouths whenever, whatever..and tweeting.. didn't he learn ANYTHING from others who have tweeted inappropiate comments for the whole world to see and read? I guess NOT. Serves him right.

This is awful that he would do such a thing, especially since so many are suffering. Its one thing to make jokes about someone but not in their time of something as this.
