Tsunami in Crescent City at Battery Point, from 8.8 Earthquake in Chile 2/27/10 video #2

As the impact of the tsunami is spreading all around, waves are beginning to increase a little along California’s coast.

As per the prediction of seismologists, the tide near the Crescent City began rising around 7 a.m. The locals of Crescent City are reportedly well aware of the impending danger, as they've watched the catastrophe caused by the Japan tsunami in Tokyo.

Few ships were seen sailing freely at California’s coast, which is a true sign of the early tsunami waves towards the coast.

In Crescent City, local authorities have already started taking necessary safety measures. The people in low lying areas of Crescent City are asked to move towards high lying areas. All official places and schools have been closed as a precaution.
