SEX RACKETS IN PATNA CITY INTERNET CAFES IN BIHAR STATE

Innocent middle class parents in India usually think that their children would go to cyber cafes to acquire so much of knowledge through internet browsing and to check mails. But the situation is found to be different for Patna district police in Bihar state in Eastern India. On a tip off the Patna City Superintendent of Police Mr.Shivadeep Lande and their teams conducted raids on Internet cafes in Peerbahar, Kadum Kaun, Kowtali, Buddha colony, Gandhi maidan and other places, and found that some Internet centre owners have also provided cots, beds and condoms in their centers beside the computers for the physical romance of youngsters.

Police have caught red-handed 40 youth including girls and boys, between the age group of 16 to 20 years, and detained the male teenagers but left the girls by giving warnings keeping view the damage caused to their image, if detained in lock up and cases are registered. Subsequently the police have summoned the parents of male youth and done counseling to the youth and their parents and left them after taking personal bonds from them, to the extent not to repeat the same. These raids have affected the image of some good cyber cafes are also, and the parents now are thinking twice before sending their children to cyber cafes. And due to the bad behaviour of some such youth and some cyber cafes, other youth, parents of such youth and other good internet centres are also getting disreputed.
