Colombia: 5 people killed in military helicopter crash

Three members of the Colombian Air Force (FAC), another Colombian military and a Mexican officer died Monday in two helicopter crash in a rural area of the Colombian department of Tolima (center) .The incident also left three soldiers wounded Colombian and Mexican students, who manned one of two UH-1H aircraft that crashed in the vicinity of a base,The official report corrects the data initially provided by local sources that were aware of six dead and two wounded.

Authorities said the two helicopters belonging to the School of the Air Force of Colombia.The incident occurred when they were on a training mission in a rural area of the municipality of Melgar .This is the second accident of military helicopter is reported in this year. On 18 February, a Bell 206B helicopter crashed in the department of Santander, in fact which killed the commander of the V Brigade of the Army, General Alfredo Bocanegra, and three others.
