Many adopted children wonder about their biological families--some want to meet them but many never take action. This is a true story about a woman who decided to follow through.

In May 2009, Diana emailed the adoption agency in Los Angeles who had arranged for her adoption when she was born. Hoping to find her adoptive mom, Diana waited, and waited, and waited.

A month passed, then two, three and finally seven long months later Diana was contacted by a worker assigned to her case. After verifying her identity to the social worker, she received a phone call.

Unbeknownst to her, Diana was informed she had an older sister. After completing a "Waiver of rights to confidentiality of siblings," and petitioning the superior court in the LA area, she was appointed an intermediary to locate her sibling.

March 22, 2010, a date Diana will never forget, she received her first phone call from her sister Susan whom she had never met. "There has not been a day goes by that we have not talked by phone or text," Diana said.

Susan had also been adopted out at birth and has resided in Los Angeles her entire life.
