Airports in Kraków and Gdańsk are looking for private capital. Kraków Airport is hoping to get zł.200 million from an investor, while Gdańsk is looking for a partner from the airport sector, daily Rzeczpospolita reports.
"We need a partner that will manage the airport and the premises around it. We also hope he would develop the network of flight connections. In the second phase the partner would acquire stakes in the company," Mieczysław Struk, Marshall of the Pomorskie voivodship, of which Gdańsk is the capital, told the daily.
Kraków Airport wants to sell a stake of up to 30 percent right away.
"The planned privatization of the airport will be sort of a test. If it is successful others may follow in its footsteps," Sebastian Gościniarek from PricewaterhouseCoopers told the newspaper.
