A rubber tapper in Kampung Batu 11 Serian, Gua Musang, Kelantan was attacked off by the female elephant at 1:00 yesterday afternoon.
Victim Lee Che Hassan, 46, stay lonely in his orchard. Before dying, he was seriously injured after a wound to the trunk and slammed into a tree at the scene.
Gua Musang district police chief, Superintendent Saiful Bahri Abdullah said, the victim using firecrackers to scare a group of elephants in respect of damage to his orchard.
"He used a firecracker explosion, but a female elephant who brought her calf suddenly angry, wrapped its trunk and hit the victim with a tightly into a tree.
"The victim died at the scene in a sitting with a few bruises to his head and face.
"When the victim was found with his face close by his own hand, trusted for pain," he said when contacted here today.
Saiful Bahri, said the incident was discovered a friend of the victim in a rubber plantation adjacent to and inform the villagers to ask for help.
Saiful Bahri said, when the population and the victim's brother, Che Mohd. Zi, 52, came and tried to lift the body of Lee, they see the elephant and her son was still nearby.
He said when he realized elephants involved began rushing toward them, Che Mohd. Zi and residents forced to flee.
The body of the victim''to be carried out four hours later, when members of the department engaged a group of elephants came to chase the elephants, including mothers who were near the body of Lee.
