Rodney Glen King, the famous American citizen who is best known for his involvement in a police brutality case involving the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) on March 3, 1991, was remembered again today. Today marks the 20th anniversary of’s murder. Rodney King’s disastrous incident was videotaped, while it was happening, by a bystander, Holliday who was observing it from some distance.
Ever since then, Rodney King’s brutal murder case videos have been circulating all over the internet. People share it all over the social media; be it Facebook, Twitter or YouTube. Rodney King was beaten atrociously for almost 9 minutes and it was all captured. The video played a central role in the criminal trial of four officers, whose not-guilty verdicts in 1992 triggered days of rioting in Los Angeles in which more than 50 people died. Rodney King’s beating started a whole new movement and it is still remembered as a very unfortunate incident.
