'Robocop' Will Return

The film 'Robocop' plan will be immediately returned to the big screen. The company currently is negotiating with MGM film's Brazilian director, Jose Padilha.

As reported by Deadline Hollywood on Thursday (03/03/2011), MGM did not give up for re-broadcast a story about police robot was popular in the late 80's it. Actually MGM had long planned to make 'Robocop', but the company had experienced financial difficulties.

MGM CEO, Gary Barber and Roger Birnbaum said that Jose Padhila is the director who is best suited for making 'Robocop'. They say they are negotiating to immediately begin the production phase.

Gary and Roger was impressed with the work of Jose when directed crime drama film 'Elite Squad'. According to them, by director award the Golden Bear Award recipient was very fantastic.

Previously MGM nearly cooperate with director Darren Aronofsky. But when financial crisis hit the company, Darren prefers to direct 'The Wolverine'.
