354 Stranded Pakistanis in Libya evacuated, thousands still in danger

Two Turkish Airline's flight, first with 174, and the second plane carrying 180 stranded Pakistanis, arrived at Lahore airport on Tuesday, the flights were chartered by Pakistan government to evacuate it's citizens after the unrest in the Arab country, state-run television said.

Punjab's provincial minister for food Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor, Deputy Commissioner of police and other senior officials welcomed the passengers at Lahore's Allama Iqbal international airportairport.

Arrived Passengers lodged complaints with government against non-seriousness of Pakistan embassy in Libya in connection with rescue and relief and evacuation. Passengers narrated the worst stories ever of their lives they faced amid masses-launched uprising in Libya.

They told the media that they were stranded for three days at the airport and had also not received anything to eat.

The passengers also called on government for doing the needful in evacuation of stranded Pakistanis from Libya.

There are still thousands of the Pakistani nationals stranded in Libya.
