The Filipino nation commemorates today the 25th Anniversary of our democracy.
The celebration kicked off with a flag raising ceremony at the People Power Monument. An Ecumenical Prayer was held after the ceremony. Historical marker was unveiled in the location where former President Cory Aquino delivered her speech during the People Power Revolution. A boodle lunch for 2,500 people was participated by business people, government representatives, and student leaders.
Actual tanks used by soldiers during the revolution are on display. "Tatak EDSA" encourages people to register and make commitments for the country. Part of the celebration is a job fair that features thirty employment agencies to offer a total of 25,000 jobs. Free medical and dental mission are also held throughout the day. Free concerts will be on stage until midnight.
