Reboization on Punthuk Setumbu

A Punthuk Setumbu called hill at Karangrejo village,Borobudur subdistrict was greened by growing 60 lansium domesticum and 100 duro zibethinus trees covering an area around 27 hectares on February 19.20ll . Reboization will last two years. Punthuk Setumbu ia an amazing booth of Borobudur view and its surrounding. An official of central java government stated that it is to preserve Borobudur environment after Merapi eruption,lessening impacts of global warming,keeping water resources,economical empowerment of rural people and improving tourism efforts.Hopefully people of Karangrejo and its neighbouring villages are naturally not motivated to earn inside Borobudur Tourist Park complex and adequate water availability of reboization eanables farmers work well.It is also quite possible for Karangrejo inhabitants to manage this area as an agricultural tourist attraction. Punthuk Setumbu ,as a matter of fact,is often visited by local and foreign visitors to watch the beauty of sunrise. There are 50 pax of local visitors and 5 pax of foreign ones mothly.Entrance fee for foreign visitor is $1.5 /pax and cheaper for local visitors in a big group
