Two Libyan pilots shot to headlines when they flew off to Malta and are seeking political asylum.
It has been reported that these two Libyan pilots were asked to fire and bomb protesters in Benghazi, Libya’s second largest city. Instead of bombing anti-government protesters they chose to fly off to Malta. These two pilots are now being questioned by Maltese officials.
Libya off late is under siege, apparently by protests from people who want a change in guard. The oil-rich African nation has been ruled for almost 4 decades by.
Seeing dictators being ousted from neighboring Arab countries like Egypt and Tunisia, Libyan citizen too are demanding the change. Since the last few days Gaddafi’s henchmen have attacked protesters and there are reports of more than 200 casualties, according to human rights groups and media agencies.
