The Daytona 500 2011 was due to take place on the 20th of February, 2011 around 1 pm and is going to be covered by the Fox Channel. Now as the Daytona 500 2011 - the start of NASCAR 2011 - is underway, a major crash has already occurred involving some major racers. The crash at the Daytona 500 2011 has affected many contenders which includes Jeff Jordon and teammate and 5-times defending champions, Jimmie Johnson.

The crash at the Daytona 500 2011 was triggered when teammates Michael Waltrip and David Reutimann collided with each other. The Daytona 500 2011 third turn saw the crash happening which involved other racers like Greg Biffle, Matt Kenseth, Mark Martin, Brian Vickers and Marcos Ambrose.
