Dave Duerson was discovered dead at his residence in Miami, Chicago Bears confirmed. Dace Duerson was fifty years old. Dave Duerson started with the Chicago Bears in 1985. Meanwhile the Police officials of Miami have said that the dead body of Dave Duerson was discovered on Thursday. They further stated that according to records on computers, the Duerson who used to live at the residence and found dead had the same birthday as that of the player Dave Duerson. Based on the computer records, the Police confirmed the death of Dave Duerson.

Meanwhile the cause of death of Dave Duerson remains unknown. Miami Police authorities stated that they are waiting for medical examination reports of Dave Duerson’s dead body and the cause of death could be known after that.

"Our family asks that you please remember Dave as a good, kind, and caring man," Alicia Duerson, the ex wife of Dave Duerson said. "He loved and cherished his family and friends and was extremely proud of his beloved Notre Dame and ... Chicago Bears. Please keep Dave and our family in your prayers,” she added.

It should be noted that the Chicago Bears signed Dave Duerson in 1983 draft’s third round. In 1985 Dace Duerson became lasting starter for the Super Bowl. The triumph of Chicago Bear at the Super Bowl elevated the popularity of Dave Duerson. Meanwhile the Chicago Bears have issued a statement to the death of Dave Duerson.

"We are stunned and saddened to hear the tragic news regarding Dave Duerson," Chicago Bears’ statement read. "He was a great contributor to our team and the Chicago community. Today is a difficult day for all of us who loved Dave. We'll miss him. Our prayers are with his family."
