WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Presidenthas promised to visit the Philippines and meet 8-division world champion once again.
According to Fred Stenburg, Pacquiao's publicist, the pound-for-pound king has also invited the U.S. president to watch the upcoming fight against 5-time world champion "Sugar", but he can't see it "live" in Las Vegas.
However, Obama can still watch Pacquiao's fight in pay-per-view (PPV).
Obama also said to Pacquiao, that he will visit the Philippines and would meet the Filipino ring icon once again.
Stenburg said, during the private luncheon meeting held at the White House, Obama gave three grocery bags full of chocolate light blue M&Ms with the presidential seal and a watch which also has a seal to Pacquiao and his wife Jinkee.
Aside from First Lady, U.S. Vice President was also present in the said meeting.
Pacquiao's adviser Michael Koncz have also confirmed, that in his upcoming fight, Obama is in favor of the pound-for-pound king even if Mosley is an American.
Aside from boxing, both were also discussing about basketball, while Jinkee was also talking to Michelle.
Based on Koncz's calculation, the Pacquiao couple spent over an hour inside the main building of the White House for the exclusive luncheon.
It was said, that Nevada Senatorbecame a way for a historic meeting between Pacquiao and Obama as part of his gratitude for helping him to win the election last year in Las Vegas.
Earlier, Reid happily meets Sarangani Rep. Pacquiao as he arrives in Washington from the press tour in New York.
Reid praised Pacquiao for his achievements in the field of boxing and for serving the country as a legislator.
