Tigers and people meeting in a forest allows the occurrence of a tragedy that is difficult to be interpreted. That certainly is an injury or even death.

Such a situation is a frightening horrific incident for a population of Orang Asli in Sungai Tiang Perkampung Orang Asli, Hutan Belum, Gerik, about 200 km from Ipoh, Perak.

The victim, Tambun Gering in the age 50-an injured after he was attacked by a tiger while blowpipe (hunting) in the forest near his home yesterday.

Gerik Acting District Police Chief, Deputy Superintendent Wan Jamil Wan Chik said, the victims were seriously injured in the head, body and left leg due to tiger attacks in the incidents which occurred at 9 am (Malaysian time).

According to him, Tambun rushed to Gerik Hospital for treatment and transferred to the Queen Bainun Hospital, Ipoh for further treatment.

Wan Jamil, said during the incident, said Tambun blowpipe squirrels are just about 10 meters from his house.

Without realizing it, he said, the tiger suddenly attacked the victim from behind resulted in a scuffle with a wild animal.

He said, the victim's wife heard the screams of her strength, then came to help the Tigers knocked on the head several times with a stick before they leave the wild animals.

Tambun's wifw courage facing a fierce tiger was able to rescue victims. If not, definitely a man's life will be lost due to wild animals.
