Feb 12 Pakistan: Basant festival is back in Lahore on 26th Of Feb 2011 after 5 years of strict Ban. Basant the kite flying day was crazily celebrated by Lahori people, before Government banned kite flying in Lahore five years back a huge number of tourist were also attracted to this beautiful festival.

ShahRukh, Sunil Shetty and many more Bollywood celebrities have been in Lahore to see the charming colors of Basant.

Basant was infact banned in Lahore because of the sharp thread people use to fly there kites with, which can actually cut a person's neck and make him bleed to death. Incidents like these infact happened in Lahore and numerous small cities across Pakistan when finally Government had to make this decision to Ban Basant permanently in Pakistan.

But now suddenly the new Governor of Punjab "Khosa" has removed the ban saying that high precautions must be taken in order to enjoy this non-muslim event of Basant. Well all i can say now is that in all this frustration and un-secureness in Pakistan due to the economy, terrorism, floods, un-employment maybe this one day can bring happiness to the poor n rich people of Pakistan.

So to all, Have a safe Basant.
