Yesterday afternoon 20th Century Fox released the official trailer for the upcoming film "X-Men: First Class" via its facebook profile X-Men Movies. The story relates the beginning of the X-Men, making it a prequel to the 2000 film "X-Men," 2003's "X2" ("X-Men United") and 2006's "X-Men: The Last Stand."
According to the new "X-Men: First Class" trailer, the newest installment of the X-Men franchise takes viewers back to the early 1960s during the Cuban missile crisis. Charles Xavier/Professor X (James McAvoy) and Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto (Michael Fassbender) play leading roles as young men discovering their powers and defining their place in the world. The movie also starsas Emma Frost, Raven Darkholme as Mystique and features several other X-Men comic book characters. is cast as villan Sebastian Shaw.
The unveiling of the new X-Men trailer is also an opportunity to create some social media buzz; as fans share the video with friends on Facebook they unlock special content, an application called the X-App.
