According to a recent report, three Pakistani cricketers have been banned for 5 to 10 years from the sports.Starting from former Pakistan captain Salman Butt who is being banned for ten years followed by team mates Mohammad Asif banned for seven years and Mohammad Aamer for five years.They have been banned by the International Cricket Council's (ICC) anti-corruption tribunal in Doha, Qatar who found them guilty of charges relating to spot-fixing in last year's series in England.
All of them were suspended since Sept. 3 when they were caught in corruption charges for fixing a match last year against England.They pleaded their innocence to the International Cricket Council but all in vain.According to Britain's Crown Prosecution Service told that the trio along with their agent have been found guilty and will now will face criminal charges. The charges relate to no-balls allegedly bowled at pre-arranged times to fix spot betting markets during the fourth Test against England at Lord's.
It is also to be mentioned that Butt is being suspended for five years while Asif is given a two year suspension along with seven year ban.
