Cyclone Yasi Mackay Report 01/02/2011
www.reefari.com Cyclone Yasi is coming to North Queensland with a rating of 3 at present but building into a Category 4, she's one massive system some 700 kilometres across, now that's massive, so decided to do a running report on it's effect on Mackay, we're on the outer edge of it, and hopefully should come out OK, but Cairns is right in it's path, and that's where I'd rather not be. Fingers crossed for Cairns and all other northern towns and cities. Looks like will cross Wednesday night which is good news at it's co-incides with the smallest of the high tides. Plus add in the storm surge of an expected 1 metre will result in more flooding. Please see reports below and helpful information if you're affected.
