I was never a big fan of "American Idol," largely because I didn't like the "nonsense" with Simon Cowell and. Even after Abdul left, I didn't watch - Simon bothered me. Even now that he's gone, I do not rush to the television because "Idol" is on. For some people, their day "revolves" around the show.
That said, I am more inclined to watch now, if "nothing else is on" and there isn't something more immediate that needs to get done, withand as judges. Lopez has matured tremendously as a human being and she certainly knows talent. Also, she does not enjoy "ripping people apart," a quality that was "all too rare" apparently in previous seasons.
Steven Tyler is simply "a musical legend." With 40 years in the business, he, too, knows, talent and he's got a terrific personality. He wants to see people succeed. Lopez and Tyler, combined with, make for a good team of judges.
"American Idol"? Maybe I'll watch.
