Last Sunday, rain started to fall in some part of Mindanao in the Philippines. A lot of people thought it was just ordinary rainfall. But the rain had other plans and has not stopped since. A lot of areas in the affected areas have now been declared under the state of calamity. In Butuan City where I live, a lot of areas are flooded. The airports are shut down leaving a lot of passengers stranded and a lot of flights have been cancelled since Sunday. Schools have been closed and offices declared no work. Last Monday, a lot of people got stranded due to the rain. And some are still stranded today. Here are some exclusive photos of a flooded Butuan City.
