Education is considered as the gateway to great success, which imbibes discipline, respect for elders, knowledge and many noble qualities among youths. The students in different institutions are also being considered as the future of country. But all this seem like an illusion when we see the same students indulging in various immoral and anti-social activities that bring shame and disappointment to the school, their parents and also to the society.

Similar incidences are happening in Bhilai nowadays, where indiscipline among students have achieved a new high. These students from highly reputed schools and colleges are now being tagged as undisciplined, offensive and abusive youths who pickup fights. Everyday two to three such incidents are happening in one or the other area of the city. According to sources these students, after leaving their schools are indulging in eve teasing, abusing and also in-group fighting with other students or with shopkeepers for insignificant reasons, in which they get bruised or sometimes even seriously injured. But the problem gets bigger when neither parents nor schools are reluctant to undertake and disciplinary measures, even after coming to know about the incident.

Harmeet Singh from Sector-8 said that today's youths have become resilient to the parents discipline and they do not wish to listen anything. They want to do things of their own, which lands them and also their parents into trouble in one way or the other. For them, such activities are meant for enjoyment and fun.

Tanveer Khan from sector-7 opined that the youths have become obsessed with rowdy behavior, which make them feel like a he-man ---capable of indulging in any antisocial activities.

One of the teacher on condition of anonymity pointed that there is an unprecedented increase in number of cases regarding indiscipline, use of abusive language and many other anti-social activities. Everyday we get several complaints but we are unable to take serious action against those involved in these cases. "After initial warning we leave them without asking any further questions. We intimate there parents also about their activities but they do not even try to discuss such problems with them;" pointed the teacher.
