The oldest person in the world passed away today at her home in Jacksonville, Texas. Eunice G. Sanborn was 114 years old and titled the Oldest Person In The World by the Los-Angeles-based Gerontology Research Group. Sanborn was born on July 20, 1896 in Louisianna.
In 1990, the group titles Sanborn after the year end census reports. Now the group will hand that torch off to the next in line, Besse Cooper of Monroe, GA. Cooper is 114 years and 5 months.
Sanborn may have passed the torch on, but her light lives on. This title of World's Oldest Person will always pass from one to another, but their spirits are high and that gives us hope. Hope that we will find the right combination that will lead us all to a long fruitful life.
R.I.P. Eunice G. Sanborn
