Tournament favorite, Kim Clijsters won her second straight Grand Slam title in the Austrlian Open Women's Singles Final beating Li Na 3-6, 6-3, 6-3.

The loss ended the outstanding run of Li Na, the player who fights back when in desperate times. She became the first Chinese player to reach a Grand Slam singles final. It was the first night match for Li at Rod Laver Arena.

It was a close fight in the 2nd set, but Clijsters brought the big guns in the final set of the match. The win for Clijsters came in what was likely her last appearance at Melbourne Park — as she said 2011 could be her last full year on the tour.
